If you’ve driven by the airport recently, you’ve surely noticed that Terminal 3 is undergoing a major renovation. The renovation will include major works of public art. New York artist and MacArthur Foundation genius James Carpenter is designing a sculptural installation spanning the 194-foot length of the passenger bridge linking the terminal to its north concourse. This installation will be made of optical aluminum shapes – forms that harness and diffuse light, offering travelers ever-changing views of the landscape. Construction is expected to begin in 2018.
